Public Works conducts annual obstacle course

Utility Superintendent Jim Boyer drives through the 2017 Snow Plow Obstacle Course Sept. 27 as Public Works Director Jim Hendershot, Street Maintenance Worker Cody Atkin and Street Superintendent Trent Wempe judge him on time and accuracy at the Spring Hill Aquatic Center. The annual course tests Public Works drivers on driving, turning and backing with cones representing obstacles such as mailboxes and cars. Boyer won the friendly competition, which consisted of drivers from the Street Division, Utilities Division and Parks Division of Public Works. Interested in being a part of Public Works? The department is accepting applications for a street maintenance worker.
