James B. Hovey was the first citizen to settle in the Spring Hill area when he arrived in March of 1857. Since then, tales of Spring Hill's growth, triumphs and tragedies have been documented by organization such as The Spring Hill United Methodist ChurchThe Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce and The Spring Hill Historical Society.

Thanks to these organizations, the City of Spring Hill is able to offer students, residents and visitors comprehensive resources on the history of Spring Hill.
